What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol — the standard Claude uses to talk to external tools. career-memos exposes its read + write surface as MCP tools so Claude can query and update your career data conversationally.
Do I need Claude?
It's the primary client and the experience is built around it, but the MCP server is open — any MCP client works, and there's a REST mirror at /api for callers that don't speak MCP.
What's a growth path?
A named target trajectory you're driving toward — role, level, company kind, the skills it needs. Different from a Variation: a Variation is how you describe yourself today; a growth path is where you're going.
